Jon & I are happy to announce the arrival of Harry born 14th May weighing 9lbs.

I don't think anyone can prepare you for what labour will be like but hypnobirthing really helped keep me calm and the breathing techniques we learnt got me through the birth feeling confident. Resulting in a natural labour in the birthing centre using the pool. Baby heartbeat was totally calm through the whole labour and he's a super chilled out boy which I put down to hypnobirthing.

We had the music playing in the background which kept my mind focused. I did find the visualisations weren't effective for me but music and breathing got my body into a relaxation state.

NEW CLASS !!!!      BUGGY FIT2DROP

This is a new post-natal fitness class that begins in a hall to work on core strength and then moves outside to work on aerobic fitness on St John's Lye and the Basingstoke Canal.

We meet on Wednesdays 13.15 at St John's Village Memorial Hall, St John's Lye, St John's Woking GU21 7SQ. Try to park a little way down St John's Lye beyond the Hall at 1.15 and push your buggy back up so that you are warmed up by the time you arrive. This will help you perform the mat exercises safely. There are toilets and baby changing facilities at the hall before we set off outside about 1.40. Be prepared for rain as we will continue outside in all weathers so please dress appropriately. We return to the Hall by 2.15pm. Occasionally classes are not running so please email for details and a registration form. mandy_mole@hotmail.com

Baby Massage courses in Woking Surrey only £25

The next 4 week course of baby massage starts at the St John's Memorial Hall, St John's Lye, Woking Surrey GU21 7SQ on Wednesday 15th April 12.30-13.30.  This course is spread out over 6 weeks so it ends on 20th May. It is suitable for babies from 6 weeks but older babies do have a longer attention span so may benefit more from the session. However if parents learn the routines early then baby gets a greater benefit particularly in treating conditions such as colic and trapped wind which can occur in the early weeks. Even if baby doesn't partake in much of the session so long as the routines are learned then its the practice at home between sessions that make the difference. you may download a booking form below and this has details of how to make the online £25 payment.  This is a great opportunity for some bonding time with baby and to meet other local mums. look forward to hearing from you!
